My role was to lead product development across web and mobile platforms, continuously improving the product and growing our user base and engagement successfully. Prior to VarageSale, I was VP Product at GoInstant, a salesforce.com company. GoInstant was acquired by salesforce.com in 2012. My role was to provide a conduit between the outside world (sales, marketing, business development) and the internal team (development, strategy, etc.) I take a Lean Startup / customer development approach to customer segmentation and product development. Prior to GoInstant I was the Founding Partner at Year One Labs, an early stage seed accelerator based in Montreal. We funded 5 startups and provided up to 12-months of hands-on mentorship, guided by a Lean Startup methodology. Three of the startups "graduated" by raising follow on capital and continue to operate today. One of the companies, Localmind, was acquired by Airbnb. I've also made 15+ angel investments personally. In 2013 I co-authored, Lean Analytics (http://leananalyticsbook.com), published by O'Reilly, a book on how to use data to grow your startup/business more successfully.
