Another terrible tragedy hit our small community and the communities around Estes Park and the Estes Valley on Mother's Day. So much tragedy has hit this area. Prayers and condolences to these young boys family and friends

ANYTHING that happened on this day 24 years ago or the days leading up to it are a total blur to me. 24 years ago today was Tony Goffs last day on this Earth and I was spending it at the hospital with him and our family, watching him slowly fade away from us. In my heart I was praying that he could, at least, hang on one more day, because this day was our granddaughter, Candice Claassen's birthday.
He almost made it. He hung on as long as he could, but he passed away later that evening. After he passed, the evening was a complete blur, because Marci passed out and fell during the prayer...

This is may be a taboo subject FOR SOME, but I don't think anything is taboo anymore and this is a rather tame tale when compared to some tales.. 😖😫😆
There are so many uneducated people in our modern world. It's hard to believe in this day and age that a man of the world didn't realize that normal woman (HIS WIFE) had her period once a month!! Sometimes you wonder how backward the rest of the world could be and this story will definitely give you an idea of how the rest of the world lives day by day and month by month! This is such abeautiful story for everyone. I would NEVER accuse a mother of holding her baby too much or spoiling a child by carrying it on her chest in a carrier.
BUT the story that this mother tells to the world is beyond heartbreaking. And it's also a story that hits very close to home for someone that our family knows, who has participated in international adoptions. No one has any idea what these babies must ensure and tolerate before they are picked up and loved by those they're adopted by!! BLESS THOSE that rescue these children!!

I had commented on a post by Barb Davis that I hadn't seen any cacti blooming in the yard, but as I was driving by the lower yard I saw this in bloom. I'm used to just seeing the Eastern prickly pear cactus blooming in yellow in the yard. This is such a beautiful exception.
